Horror began in literature, from books such as Frankenstein which was famously written in 1818 by Mary Shelley, and other books like Dracula, written by Bram Stoker in 1897. It gradually turned into a film genre which often features scenes that startle the viewer. However, Horror is a genre that is sub-divided into other genres such as thriller and supernatural.
Our media project is based on horror movie trailers. After we have gained an insight of the concept of horror, we will be creating our own horror movie trailers in set groups.
Elements of Horror films usually involve ;
- Insanity
- Satanism
- Serial killers
- Technology
- Contagion
- Vampires/demons/werewolves etc...
- serial killers/cannibals
